Locations And Classification Research

Market Streeet Piccadilly

We have connected locations with each scene in our opening to create tension and to make it have a sence of realism.
Manchester is quite a big city and therefore, we decided not to use common places around the city , such as Manchester Arndale , our college, and near universities.
However we have thought about using locations from Louise house and the area around it when she is walking to the bus stop.
Our second location is Oxford road and the train station.

Film Classifications Research
For our drama film opening,we nee dto be thinking abot what classification our film will go under in order to get a target audience that will be able to understand the movies better according to age groups ect.
Having thought carefully about which classification our film should go under,we have to decided that it would be most suitable based on what the specifications say on The British Board of Film classication.
So it would be most suitable for our film to be rated as a PG whilst taken a further look into what actually makes a film a PG.

aged around eight or older.
However, parents are advised
to consider whether the content
may upset younger or more
sensitive children.

Frightening sequences should not be prolonged or intense. Fantasy settings may be a mitigating factor. Imitable behaviour .No detail of potentially dangerous behaviour which
young children are likely to copy. No glamorisation of realistic or easily accessible weapons.

Natural nudity, with no sexual context.
Sex
Sexual activity may be implied, but should be discreet and infrequent. Mild sex references and
innuendo only.
Theme
Where more serious issues are featured (for example, domestic violence) nothing in their treatment should condone unacceptable behaviour.
Violence
Moderate violence, without detail, may be allowed, if justified by its context (for example, history,
comedy or fantasy).
